First Time Out!

Matthew and I for the first time left our sweet Grant for a little while on Saturday night. We had not been on any kind of date or time just the two of us since Grant had been born. Honestly, we have really just wanted him with us every where we go. But.... on Saturday night we had a fundraiser to attend, the Equinox Ball for the Boys and girls club of Nashville. We had a great time along with our great friends Brian and Jocee who also attended the function. We left Grant in the care of Elizabeth (my cousin once removed) for the evening and new he was in wonderful hands and would have lots of fun. The night was lengthy and after dinner at Cha Chas before we went to the Hermitage for the event I checked on Grant and found out he had cried for an hour, poor baby. I had a feeling he might have some separation anxiety and he did. We missed him a ton but knew it was healthy for both us and him. After his tearful spell he had great fun the rest of the time until Mommy and Daddy picked him up. A really fun note of the night was our take-home token. There was a silent auction at the Equinox ball and we bid on an autographed Toby Keith guitar. We thought since we live in music city why not. So, we ended up getting the guitar and it now is mounted in our den, we needed at least one piece of musical art for our walls since we live in Nashville plus the cause was something we definately wanted to support in the city. All in all it was a fun night and Grant did great even though we missed him. Here are a few of the pictures of the night.
